Afraid Of Success?

Well, you’re not the only one, as strange as it may seem at a first glance. Meaning: why would we fear something that makes us happy? “Success” is something we all strive to have, one way or another, isn’t it? However, we fear it! Such a paradox.

It is actually a fear of the unknown. This is the main reason why you have second doubts and sometimes, you even sabotage yourself. You don’t know what to expect. You have an idea of how it may be and look, but there is something missing.

Most probably, you didn’t grow up having too many successful people around you. And I was in this position as well. I had always had mixed feelings about being successful:

  • Many limiting beliefs about money and rich people
  • I lived in a culture of lack, rather than in a culture of abundance.

And as wonderful as my family was back then and still is, they didn’t have even the smallest idea about financial education. It was a tabu subject. Growing up, my idea of money was:

  • It’s hard to make them
  • You can lose them quick (then why make them anyway, right?… )
  • You need to put money away for rainy days

Long story short, money was unreachable. But I wanted to have money! I really liked money, I liked traveling a lot in my early 20s. Therefore, this conflict developed in my mind:

  • Money is bad and lacking.
  • I like money. I like this “bad and lacking thing” that can offer me so much.
  • I want more of it!

Shortly, I began to study money more, to educate myself financially and to understand that it’s OK to have, want and use money as I please. A new horizon has opened up for me.

The more I worked on my limiting beliefs, the more relieved I felt. Reading books, attending to seminars and webinars and listening to this amazing podcast on financial education and investing have all taken me to a point where I understood that money comes along after you offer value.

“It’s really simple. Bring a ton of value, the money will surely follow.” Keith Weinhold with Get Rich Education.

Conquer the fear of success by knowing where you are going. Get your goals clear and develop a plan by starting with the first step. If you are aware where you are going, there is no more fear of the unknown.

As you know where you’re heading and you also bring a ton of value first, do you need to fear success anymore? I am positive you’ve now consciously solved this issue that has been bugging you for a while.

Here’s to all the success in the world! You deserve it fully.

Do you need more support? I’m more than happy to serve you.

I’ll see you soon,
