Don’t Be A Slave Of Your Fears Anymore

Do not get your mind trapped by your fears anymore. You can educate and train yourself to spot a fear, to detect those patterns that aren’t serving you anymore and to live the best life possible that you can create for yourself.

Easier said than done? Not at all. As with every skill, it takes time until you master it and keeping your fears under your control is no different. With practice day by day, you will get to be the best, fear-free version of yourself.

This is common and it happens to us, most of the times, without us even realizing it. Why is that? The first thing that you need to know is that your mind is negative by default. It does not want to harm you in any way, it’s just how it’s built. It is looking for problems, for potential issues that may go wrong, just to make sure that you stay alive. For your mind, every single change that you can think of, can be a potential threat.

Second of all, now that you know this, it’s easier for you to understand the mechanism of your mind, and instead of fighting it and adding so much resistance – I know how it feels, as I’ve been the queen of resistance so many times – here is a new strategy for you:

  1. Accept and embrace your feelings – do not judge yourself for feeling this, do not punish yourself or think low of yourself. It would be as if you would feel guilty that a day has only 24 hours! You cannot control the way your mind has been set up. Luckily, you can train it, and the more you accept yourself and your feelings, the more you OBSERVE them, the more you won’t be affected by them.
  2. Take it one step at a time. Know that it’s OK to take a break and get a fresh breath of air, it’s OK to say NO and focus on your own schedule and it’s also perfectly OK to not make progress during one day. What’s not OK is to continually beat yourself up over things that you can’t control at first. Even if you make a 1-millimeter step, that is still a step ahead and you deserve to celebrate this success. Remember: it sometimes takes time to get all your values aligned, so that you can move full speed ahead.
  3. Focus on your bigger vision. You need to know where you’re going. Have a clear path in your mind and keep a reminder close to you at all times: either a visual board, empowering affirmations, visualizations of your goal or you can even do all of these! Keep your mind wired to success and focus only on what you want to achieve.
  4. Celebrate and be grateful. You get to acknowledge your success and your skill asset, when you celebrate every small step along the way. Did you finally finish that project that took you so many days? Celebrate! Did you start to work out more and you’re keeping yourself accountable? For sure, celebrate! Be grateful for your little wins and for all the wonderful things that you have already accomplished.

Dealing with your mind and your fears is not an easy task at first. However, the more you focus on what you want and the more grateful that you are, know that there is no fear in sight. You cannot be both fearful and grateful.

Put all these steps into action and watch how you’ll monitor your thoughts, how you’ll spot the fear patterns and how you’ll be able to act anyway, despite fear. As you are also compassionate with yourself and know that you do your very best every single day, you will for sure start to thrive.

My fearless friends, here’s to a fear-free life!

Do you need more support? I’m more than happy to serve you.
